Here's the journey details, for those of you interested!

Galaxy V6 2.9i

Arrived at Euro Tunnel, where we quickly boarded a train, that left at 07:05, went about 250 mtrs and promptly stopped at the entrance to the Tunnel, then started again at 07:28.  From leaving the train made very good progress, went past a waiting Gendarme, travelling rather quick, luckily he was on the other side of the road....then spent the next hour paranoid that he might have radioed ahead to the Reims Peage to pull us over....we were ok. The fog that was forecast wasn't too thick, however just as Jes my solid co driver commented that the fog wasn't as bad as we thought it would be....sod's law took hold and it became quite thick for about the next 150 miles. It was good that the road was empty so we still maintained a good speed

Still made good progress, changed over driving when we stopped for petrol at Dijon, I then proceeded to try to sleep...I was successful but when I awoke,  I didn't recognise the road....my co driver was driving happily into Lyon!!!

That cost us quite a bit of time, as there were major roadworks on the peripherique, once on the road to Grenoble, made better progress, but I was worried we'd now end up in Chambery if I dozed off!

Bit of traffic out of Grenoble on the Briancon road, but we made it in good time, if it wasn't for our detours I reckon we could have clipped another 45mins off our total time!

Surrounding mountains look good, but La Grave is still closed.......

Will post details of what where we go tomorrow with the guides!!
