La Grave Snow Board Safari: Friday 29th

Serrre Chevalier!!!!!!!

Not a great nights sleep, six of us in a tiny apartment, as we had to spend the night in Serre as we couldn't get back over the Col last night, but in meant we were well placed for the day.
It might now sound boring, but another day of awsome riding, a lot of wind in the night had swept a lot of the fresh off the mountain, but if you found where it ended up it was deep.
Many tree runs with numerous wipe outs, having to ride the board right on the back, and let it run straight, incredible riding.

The next part of the adventure was to get back to La Grave, as the Col was still shut, which would mean a six hour journey back!!

A number of other French guides with clients were also stuck with us, so we all decided to mount a convoy to try to get through. We arrived at the barrier to find it was shut, we then had to spend
another couple of hours waiting to get clearance to proceed, it was only when the ex Mayor of La Grave turned up, and he needed to get through that things opened up after much procrastination, the road out of La Grave to Grenoble was still shut with avalanches closing the road, it's
now opened, so we'll wait and see if we can get out tomorrow, quite an adventure!

Boards are now in the shop getting some serious service, taking out the remnants of tree stumps!!
Where we go tomorrow, who knows?
We'll stay low, and either do Deux Alpes, or stations closer to Grenoble.

So MUCH snow!!!
